The American Hypres Compressor Blocks Made in Oklahoma
Hypres changed what needed to be changed and left the rest as is.
A. Improved Crankshaft;
The connection for the crank and the counter-weight was improved in depth and size that created a much stronger crankshaft assembly.
We removed the oil pump from being crank-driven to free up any drag created by the oil pump. Now, it only turns on bearings the rods.
B. Oil Pump;
The new oil pump is electrically-driven and is controlled by the compressor system controller. This type of oil system allows for programming to start the oil pump 8 seconds prior to the compressor startup that pre-oils the compressor.
C. Oil Injection into the cylinders;
The H-10, 3 stage 5000 psi compressor now has an injection port in all 3 cylinders. The H-15 & H-20 4 stage compressors now have oil injection on the first stage of the compressor. The second & third cylinders are on the under-side of the pump and do not need additional oiling. The final stage on all of the pumps have always had oil injection on the final stage.
D. Third Stage Piston assembly;
A redesign, to change the piston design from a 3 piece assembly to a 1 piece assembly. This reduces any possibility of separation.
E. Inlet & Outlet Valve Assemblies;
All valves on the Hypres pumps are made in America. The parts for all of the valves are manufactured in OK. & MN. Quality checked at Hypres for meeting our specs and assembled.
F. Fan Assembly;
The new fan is 10 pounds lighter and the fan blades are 8 inches long and are made of a nylon polymer, compared to the old 3” metal blades. This change provides much higher air volume of cooling.
Fan Blade Guard;
The new guard is heavy-duty and completely encloses the blades front & back as OSHA requires.
